We are the powerful wave of change - will you jump in with us this September 30th?
CHIRLA’s Virtual Gala will be live-streamed on September 30th at 6 PM PST for the first time ever online. We will pay homage to the tireless efforts of immigrants during a pandemic that has changed all our lives. Join us in honoring the resiliency of workers, students, and families alongside hundreds of other change allies, leaders, personalities, and artists for an engaging digital experience, from the comfort of your home.
Let’s unleash the strength of immigrants:
Anabel Muñóz of ABC 7 hosts a lineup full of Latino luminaries, including Labor icon Dolores Huerta, our keynote speaker; U.S. Rep Nanette Barragan; news anchor Jorge Ramos; actress Melinna Bobadilla of Orange is the New Black; California Secretary of State Alex Padilla; and celebrity host Dra. Ana María Polo and a special presentation from the U.S. Representative Karen Bass.
As a special treat, the musical group Las Cafeteras will premiere a new movement song and video, Long Time Coming, during the event.
Can’t attend? Don’t worry! You can still build power by buying an online auction, making a donation, or buying an exclusive t-shirt. Visit our event website for more information.
Through these troubled times, you can be part of the unified action and growing power it takes to achieve liberation for immigrants and communities of color.
