The California Dream Network Steering Committee invites you to the 12th Annual CDN Statewide Retreat taking place Friday, November 16th to Sunday, November 18st at College of the Canyons, Santa Clarita, CA. This year's theme is Intersectionality in a Time of Resistance. The Statewide Retreat is open to high school and college students who are part of an AB540/Undoc student club/org on campus, or to youth who are interested in getting involved in the Immigrants Rights Movement. If you are interested in being a part of this convening that is organized by and for immigrant youth, then you should register today (register here) Deadline to register is Wednesday, October 26th , 2018 so don’t waste another minute and register! WHAT: The CDN Statewide Retreat is an annual 3-day convening for immigrant youth to learn about their rights and discuss the next steps for the immigrant rights movement in California.
WHO: The CDN Statewide Retreat is open to high school and college students who are part of an AB540/Undocumented student club/org on campus, or to youth who are interested in getting involved with an immigrant student group.
WHEN: November 16th to November 18st, 2018. Register by October 26th, 2018. *Limited spaces available.
WHERE: College of the Canyons, Santa Clarita, CA
COST: The event is free to all CHIRLA members. CHIRLA membership costs $25.00 and it lasts for a year. This is a tax-deductible donation. You will have the option to pay by cash or card the day off.
*Food and housing is provided for all attendees. Travel stipends are available for those who can help drive participants from their city to the retreat; we will rent several vans and do our best to provide transportation to all participants from across the State.

The California Dream Network is the youth branch of the Coalition for Humane Immigrant Rights of Los Angeles. We were established in 2003 and have advocated and organized for the Federal DREAM Act, Comprehensive Immigration Reform, DACA/DAPA, the California Dream Act (AB 130/131), the Dreamer Loan Program (SB 1210), AB 60, Health 4 All, and most recently for the Dream Resource Centers legislation (AB 1366 and AB 2009). The CDN is run by the Statewide Youth Organizer, Regional Organizer and the elected CDN Steering Committee.
