CHIRLA’s May Day Membership Drive will run from March 2 – May 4, 2009.

There are lots of reasons for becoming a member of CHIRLA but here are a few:

• JOIN BY MAY 1 TO SHOW OUR STRENGTH! CHIRLA is committed to showing the strength of the immigrant rights movement within the first 100 days of President Obama’s new administration.

• BECOME A PART OF OUR ADVOCACY EFFORTS! In order to fight for Just and Humane Comprehensive Immigration Reform, we need to seize this opportunity and show our elected leaders that we are a mobilized, informed constituency that will hold them accountable.

• CHIRLA NEEDS YOU: Your membership dues will provide general support for all of our programs including:

• Protecting Low-wage Worker Rights
• Immigration Referral Hotline
• New Voter Registration Efforts
• Civic Engagement
• Helping Immigrant Youth Finish High School and Attend College
• Support Pro-Immigrant Legislation and Fight Anti-Immigrant Legislation
