Development Intern

Qualifications:
-Sensitive to immigration issues and workers’ rights issues.
-Somewhat computer savvy
-A strong writer/editor.
-Organized, polite, & comfortable speaking to potential funders.
-Creative, innovative, and artistic.
-Committed to social justice

Intern(s) will:
-Work with Executive Directors & CHIRLA development team in/out of CHIRLA office (computer, desk, internet available).

-Help plan/coordinate annual fundraising reception (event will be for 600 people). Event tasks will include:
           o Planning an artistic component to the event
           o Networking with corporate sponsors and community
              members to fundraise for the event.
           o Helping plan/outreach for a silent auction

-Help with development and fundraising

-Help organizers with administrative tasks in the CHIRLA office including such activities as designing flyers, posters or brochures; creating & maintaining databases; writing letters to community members; and other office-related tasks.

-This internship is flexible in terms of hours.
