6 - DAYS IMMIGRATION PARALEGAL TRAINING!
This intensive six-day training is designed to provide staff working at not-for-profit agencies the foundations of immigration law, to assist with the application for accreditation from the Board of Immigration Appeals so nonprofit staff may represent clients before the US Citizenship and Immigration Service and immigration judges. (The BIA now often cites successful completion of this training as a positive factor in granting accreditation.)
When: June 4 to June 8, Monday through Friday

How much will it cost?
- $400 for staff of non-profit agencies
- $500 for staff of private law firms.
Deadline to register is Thursday, May 24, 2012 at 5 pm.
The fee covers registration, tuition, coffee & refreshments. The fee does not cover the cost of the text. The text A Guide for Immigration Advocates used in the course must be purchased separately and directly from the Immigrant Legal Resource Center website (www.ilrc.org) before attending the course. Upon approval of enrollment to the course, the text book will be available at a discounted rate for the students. Students must be enrolled before the discount is available
Applications from non-profit staff of community based organizations that are organizing immigrant communities for progressive change will be given preference. The training is designed to assist non-profit organizations and staff members complete the requirements for BIA recognition and accreditation. Staff from law firms and private practitioners will be admitted on a limited basis. Attendance in each class is very important to receive a certificate of completion. In addition a final exam will be given at the end of the class.
